Build A Tree
Build A Tree has been inspired by the work of natural environment educationist, Joseph Cornell.

This classroom-based learning and teaching unit forms part of the AEEC’s Living With Trees programme, but can very successfully stand alone.

The unit teaches about how a tree functions and requires one and a half hours working with the whole class, initially using a large open space
(Gym or GP room), to build the tree. This begins with pupils taking part in a simple role-play.

Pupils then work in teams on a reinforcement activity before completing an individual assessment.
